Cascade Relays is a small, family-run business with the mission to provide exceptional relay race experiences while supporting the communities they run through with the Cascade Relays Foundation. The Foundation contributes over $50,000 annually and has directly contributed over $235,000 to local community groups since 2008. Their staff and volunteers embody the spirit of our company – safety, fun, and competition. You may know this delightful company through their awesome events, including The Cascade Lakes Relay, The Bend Beer Chase, The Spokane to Sandpoint Relay, and The Centennial Beer Chase. Founders and Race Directors (and husband and wife team) Scott and Carrie Douglass are positive, energizing hosts of the amazing events that run year round in the Pacific Northwest.
As TEDxBend Partners and Day of Event Directors, this amazing team adds so much to our incredible event each year. They play a key role in producing TEDxBend year round, culminating in the truly exemplary job they do on the day of our main event as well as the TEDxBendWomen event. The Cascade Relays crew works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly, from check-in to lunch, from seating arrangements to special needs. Oversee hundreds of volunteers throughout the year on behalf of TEDxBend and add their creative and thoughtful attention to the details to pull off a stellar experience for our attendees. It is a delight to work with Scott and Carrie. We are so appreciative of their leadership and community giving spirit that helps make TEDxBend a powerful experience for all of us in Central Oregon. Thank you, Cascade Relays!
